After putting on and installing a new gtx 1070, it shows on the monitor "out of range" what should i do?

Or should i put the old gpu back in and ddu and shut down and put the gtx 1070 once again?

The psu is a corsair 500 cx i believe and an asus p8p67 rev 3.1 motherboard

Did the ddu thing and installed them again and upon reboot got the out of range message once again
Your best best is to get into safe mode and change the display settings. Out of range refers to the signal being sent to the monitor is either a higher resolution or refresh rate than the monitor supports. Windows should have auto reverted back to default 800x600 when switching video card or monitor. Since it didn't you need to get into safe mode.
