New graphics card very low fps

I have a GTX 1060 video card brand new I have in an alienware x51 R2 tower. I have all drivers updated, I have it set to discrete in BIOS. I start up Dayz and on the start screen it shows only 5-7 FPS once in game it jumps between 10 fps to 70 fps constantly. In display adapters list it shows the gtx and on-board graphics I right clicked and disabled on-board but it still shows.

P.S it cannot be the card but because i returned the first one that did this and the second one is doing the same thing!

That's okay. Even though I don't have as many screenshots as I would have liked, the information that it slowed down during the test is enough information to figure out what's going on.

According to the Statistics tab, the highest temperature seen on your CPU during the test was 98C. It needs to be kept under 95C or else it will thermal throttle. Thermal throttling is when the CPU slows itself down in an effort to lower power consumption and heat output to keep itself from overheating badly enough to fail.

There are five possible reasons for this behavior.
1. CPU fan is not spinning properly
2. CPU cooler is not mounted properly
3. CPU cooler is clogged with dust.
4. CPU cooler is insufficient for the amount of heat produced by the...

Press Control+Shift+Escape to open Task Manager. Keep an eye on it while gaming. You may have to disable fullscreen to get task manager on screen at the same time as the game.

Also, my definition of idle is sitting at the desktop with no programs open.

If Task Manager is only displaying a few items and it's not organized by name or usage, then you need to click on "More Details" at the bottom left of Task Manager to view the information we're looking for.

Next I'm going to ask you to download AIDA64 Extreme, drop down the Tools Menu across the Top, select System Stability Test, select all options except for Local Disk and run the test for ten minutes. Take a screenshot of the Clocks tab every thirty seconds for the duration of the test. Save the screenshots immediately. Once you end the test at the ten minute mark (don't worry about being exact), take a screenshot of the Statistics tab.

In order to post images to Tom's Hardware forums, you'll need to upload them to a hosting site like Imgur or Google Drive. If using Google Drive, make sure Link Sharing is turned on. Then simply copy paste the link to the album or individual images into the reply box here on Tom's.

I apologize for the late response. I've been having internet connectivity issues.

I could only get a snapshot every minure or so because once the test hit the minute mark my pc started lagging badly

5. Issues with thermal paste.

Here's what I'm going to suggest: Please remove the CPU cooler from the CPU, clean the thermal paste off of the CPU and the cooler using paper towels and rubbing alcohol, then blow out the fins with compressed air. Do not blow on it via your breath, your breath contains moisture. Apply new thermal paste to the CPU in the shape and size of an uncooked grain of rice in the center of the CPU. When you put the cooler back on, it will push down and spread the paste. When the cooler is back on after being cleaned, fire up the machine and observe the behavior of the CPU fan. If it's not spinning smoothly, then the cooler is defective.

For thermal paste, I recommend either Arctic Silver 5 or Arctic MX-4, whichever is easier to get where you live.

Yes I do. Your CPU will run slower when it gets too hot. It does this in an attempt to lower heat production so that it does not get dangerously hot and possibly fail. If the cooler was not working at all, your machine would shut down a few seconds after starting up, so I can say the cooler is trying but it's not doing a very good job.
