How can i make an excel file shared by another computer and make us both have access in changing it contents?
It depends.
What LAN infrastructure do you have?
This can be trivial, or you can complicate it way out of proportion.
In a typical LAN. Home or small business, you simply share a folder between the two systems. The Excel filee lives in that folder, both systems can access it.
Now...what you cannot do is both of you editing it at the same time. This creates major confusion.
So...how complex do you want this to be?
What is your infrastructure?
You just explained my situation here, I was able to share the excel file to another computer by using a network. We can both see the excel file in our respected pc. And you are right, we can't both simultaenously make changes in the excel file. The thing i want to do is for both of us to open it at the same time and make changes in its contents.
By the way, what do you mean by my LAN infrastructure? How am i able to know it?
By LAN infrastructure just meant how are the systems connected.
Now...2 people making changes to the same Excel file at the same time is
hugely problematic.
Consider this:
2 people have it open for eidting
Person A makes a change to Cell C13. Does not save the file yet.
Person B also makes a change to Cell C13. He saves the file. Cell C13 now reflects his data
Person A then saves that same Excel file.
What should Cell C13 display? Data from Person A or from Person B?
What you are seeking is NOT easy.
