Display driver stopped responding error every 3 to 5 mins

just upgraded graphics card to evga gt 730 . have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers 3 times still having problem . not over heating . at a loss here any help would be great .
Dell studio 540
intel core 2 quad 2.33 GHz
windows 7 ultimate sp1 up to date

on older hp some have 512 meg video ram limit. see if there a video ram size in the bios and see if your mb has the newest bios file.

got a 500 watt in it . swapped before I put that gpu in . was using gforce 8400 and didn't have a problem and I changed from the 8400 to a 610 and started having display problems . then went back to the 8400 and no problems . now trying the gt 730 and having same problem as I did with 610 .

smorizio that was part of my problem also the windows copy I had installed had issues within it . all problems are solved now . I'm using windows 10 everything is running great . installed r7 260x .
