XFX Radeon R9 390 8GB vs EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX2.0

Hi I was wondering which video card should get the XFX Radeon R9 390 8GB or the EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX2.0. I will mostly be playing video games like overwatch and battlefield 1 and occasionally older titles like csgo. I have an i7 3770 3.4ghz 8gb DDR3 RAM and 360 psu. I'm good with the 8gb RAM , but I do plan on getting a new psu as well so any psu reccomendations would be much apprieciated. The pricing on both video cards is about the same right now ( around $130-150 range for me) . I just want to know which card is superior and will give me more fps and be able to handle light 4k gaming.

Well, in mote recent stuff the 390 has pulled a head a little particularly with dx12 stuff and it's greater vram. However, the 970 overclocks well.

For light 4k, the 390 hands down, but it really won't do anything heavy at that resolution.

I'd look for a used 980, they are going cheap now
