About a mouth ago i decided to build a lga 775 pc for a 2nd rig, as I had most of the parts available with the rest being very cheap.
The parts i used were :
Asus p5q-se
Gtx 560ti
4gb Kingston Hyper x drr2
Core 2 quad q9400
Cooler master v10
500GB WD black

After I put the parts together the pc booted up without issue and was working fine for about 4 weeks. Afterwards which all the fans on the heatskink, gpu, psu would spin for half a second with the pc being unable to boot. The first thing I did was to do the paperclip test on the psu (which it passed) and to try another psu with my system. ( I am aware that passing the paper clip test does not mean that the psu is fully functioning)

As the Pc booted fine with another PSU (thermaltake 500w) first I thought it was a problem with my cpu/mobo/ram, so i used a different mobo, cpu and ram sticks, however the pc still would not boot. I think that my corsair psu is dead , as my all the parts seem to function fine when using a different psu (thermaltake 500w).

This is where I am not so sure if my TX 750 in completely busted as after leaving it for a month in disuse I recently decided to plug it back into my build and to my surprise the pc did boot for the first time with the PSU installed. However anytime i tired to boot my pc afterwards it would repeat the same issue ( fans spin up on everything for a split second). Is there any way I can repair my PSU or get it to work properly ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
