Hi guys,
Hope you all are well. I have a 23" LED 2ms 60Hz monitor and I am not planning upgrading it anytime soon. What will the best GPU for me be to play AAA titles on 1080 @ MAX settings for the next 3 years or so?
I have been looking at the 1060 6GB, RX480 4/8GB and RX470 8GB.
I have seen most benchmarks where the 470 is not far behind the 480. I know the 1060 does perform a little better than the 480 in about 80% of games.
I am in South Africa and part are extremely expensive, some prices :
MSI Radeon RX 480 8GB GAMING X : +-$415
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GAMING X : $385
XFX Radeon GTR RX 480 8GB : +-$370
MSI Radeon RX 470 8GB GAMING X : +-$340
I have seen on JayzTwoCents that the XFX RX480 GTR performs very well and run cool compared to other AIBs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWASNajSdpg
My current systems pecs are :
i5 4440 with CM TX3 Evo cooler
8GB ram
Gigabyte AMD R9 270x Windforce 3x - has done me proud as it still performs pretty good.
Corsair CX500 - Please keep your comments to yourself as I know people dont think very highly about this PSU.
