How long would a typical laptop Hard disk last if it is used for 24x7 Downloading and uploading?

it's all about luck and environment.
For example if the disk is running in ventilated enclosure, it might survive longer. When it runs hotter - it supposed to last less.
anyway it can be few months and can take years.
BTW, slower (5400rpm) disks can live longer.

As n0ns3ns3 said, you can't really know that. Most HDDs should have a warranty period of two years or more. So, in case it fails, you can RMA it.
Also, keep in mind that mechanical drives could fail without even showing some failing signs before that. You should always back up your most important data.
