I'm trying to Load my old Nvidia 7900 GS Video Card
but I get a blank screen.

I want to start out with On Board Video First.

I downloaded the 7 Series Driver for win 8 64 bit.
But I'm running Win 10 . .

Solution

Yeah, so if you're drivers are not supporting windows 10 and you have it, it mightt be a little dated. I'm surprised that a card from 2007 would last this long, but yes, you should consider getting an upgrade, or just use that one out until it dies or the graphics are just not enough for you. Good luck!

If you put in a video card, why are you trying to load into on board graphics? You should put in your graphics card into your PCI express slot until you hear a snap, then see if it powers on. Then, you should be all good, and remember to download all of the necessary drivers for your GPU.

I'm trying to track down a Blue Screen Crash problem.

I installed the main ASUS ? Video Card in the lower slot.
It was originally in the upper slot.
I guess my MoBoard can do SLi :)

Can't seem to find the Nvidia 7900 GS Driver for Win 10 . .
The Nvidia page only has it for Win 7 & 8 . .

That card is too old for Windows 10 drivers, which is very likely the issue with your crashes since you are trying to install Windows 8 drivers for it. Does the card work fine if you don't install the nVidia drivers? Does it show the right nVidia card on the built-in Windows 10 drivers or after a Windows update is ran?

My Gigabyte Video Card's Waranty ran out in 2014.
i put my old Nvidia 7900 GS in & it shows it correctly in Device Manager for
Win 10.

its running an old 309.8 ? Drivers which is workin ok ATM.
if this dosnt work , i gues its time for a new Video Card or RAM . .
