Mafia 3 is crashing while playing. Note: Not always. I've played about 15% of the story and it only crashed once.

Here's my specs:

Windows 10

Intel i5 6600k not overclocked with H60 COOLER

EVGA GTX 1070 FTW not overclocked

2x8GB G.Skill RAM DDR4 2400

Corsair RM650 80+ Gold

ASUS H170 PRO GAMING MOBO

980 GB KINGSTON SSD

3 140MM FANS,
4 120MM FANS (all fans running at 100% speed)

ENTHOO EVOLV ATX CASE

Here's my problem:

I was playing last night {2 hours into gaming(ultra settings)} and it crashed. My CPU's temp was 60C~ under load and GPU is 67C to 70C under load.

I just bought the FTW 2 days ago so it's definitely not the problem. My CPU's temps look fine. I'm pretty sure my PSU has enough power for all of my components. I did a RAM test and it was also working fine, no errors.

I've searched all over the internet and one of them had the same problem, he only needed to reinstall Windows 10.

I will try to play again today and if it still crashes, I'm gonna probably reinstall Windows.

I just need any help I can get that I don't know of. Thanks in advance.

1| When running memtest86, you should run the rams for at least 10 passes. If any errors come up as you reach pass #10, then the ram kit or the ram slot is to blame. That is why we suggest running memtest86 per stick per slot to rule each of them out.

2| You mention an EVGA GTX1070 GPU, do you own one of the cards in this list?

3| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date as is the case with your chipset and GPU drivers?

4| By crash you mean the game closes and takes you to desktop screen? Or does it cause the entire system to reboot? Might I also ask where you got your copy of Mafia III from?
