I would like to be able to get into full screen mode, with no visible toolbars, when I need to view the full image (in any program), and then back to regular screen, so that I can access all my toolbars.

I think reverting back to regular screen involves F10 or F11, but I can't figure out how to get into full screen first.

I have a Pavillion laptop with Windows Vista. Thanks for helping.

I believe MS Word will let you configure a shortcut of your own choosing - but doesn't have the functionality natively.

The only 'full screen' option (I believe) inside MS Office is 'reading mode', which won't allow you to edit in full-screen.

OK, mystery solved. I browsed the archive and it turned out that pressing F11 performs both tasks, it both launches and exists fullscreen (at least on my laptop).

Thank you for maintaining this website. This small command will greatly simplify my life.

Thank you for your reply.

I spoke too soon... The F11 seems to work in Chrome, but not when I'm in another program like MS Word or read a pdf. Is there anything that can work across programs?
