KVM Switch - Hotkey, Just K&M

My workstation has two computers, each with their own monitor(s) and K&Ms. I don't need the KVM to do any switching of the monitors.

Ideally, I'd like a KVM switch that allows you to assign a button on the mouse (say the scroll wheel button) to switch b/w the two computers. I suppose a keyboard hotkey would work if the first option is not available. Reliability and fast switching are important as I will be frequently switching b/w the two.

Is there anything on the market that meets those requirements?

Also, software is out of the picture, b/c one of the computers is a vendor provided PC where I can't install any outside software. Thanks.

Solution
They make switching usb hubs(sometimes called usb sharing hubs) that work, but the switching is not that fast(it is faster with Windows 8/8.1 and 10 than 7). These use actual buttons instead of shortkeys and are seen by the computer as a usb hub.

If you can get a decent KVM and just not use the monitor portion it may be a better idea since they have the shortkey option you want.

Solution
any standard kvm switch will work, just leave the monitors plugged into the computers and the mouse and keyboard into the switch. It might be a little frustrating since the screens don't switch knowing what screen is active with the K&M.

Most kvm switches that ive seen are normally a double tap on the page down button. A lot of our cad guys run two computers with switches and all their switches are double page down.

Are there any specific ones you recommend? Most that I have seen have a physical button that you have to press, which I'd prefer to avoid if possible.
