Hello,
So i need help buying a new GPU
The problem is my CPU is a i3 4170 and thats obviously going to be a problem
I want to go for the GTX 660 but im not sure it will bottleneck because of the CPU
I kinda want to give a try to AMD but my CPU is intel (don't know if that matters but just saying)
If my CPU can handle the GTX 660 i'll probably go for it though.

Solution
660 is kinda weak and obsolete at this point. i3 4170 isn't much of a problem, it will perform fine in games with a decent GPU. you should get gtx 1060 6 GB, it is worlds better than gtx 660

Thanks everyone for the help
I'm going for the GTX 660 because of two reasons
first, I can find the GTX 660 on ebay for like 50€
and second the GTX 1060 is kind of a overkill for what i want, i only want the GTX 660 for Rocket League and maybe Minecraft with shaders

Honestly dude, Some people waaay underestimate the i3's. They're super good. I've ran an i3 2100 with a GTX 670, ran perfectly, absolutely no bottlenecks (it does obviously depend on the game you're playing but.....for every title Ive touched from Metro last Light/2033 Redux to Fallout 4, it's been perfect.)

Get that GTX 660 or whatever else you end up with, and enjoy! I'd even argue it's overkill for rocket league! I swapped out my GTX 670 to a 650Ti and Antec 380W PSU for a secondary PC (mostly for rocket League haha) and it does that perfectly.

The GTX 660 is actually quicker, and he's probably likely to get it cheaper since it's older.
