Hi Guys
Im thinking about buying a new GeForce GTX 1070 HOF Kfa2 card tomorrow and i already have 2 sli gtx 780s of the same brand, i need your help on finding out just how much of an increase i'd see in performance and if it would be worth the upgrade.

I also plan on using the cards for the oculus rift and iv been hearing that the 780s wouldn't run it too well due to the fact theres no sli support for vr yet.

any thoughts?

With the trend of fewer games supporting SLI properly than before, I feel like this is a good change to make, but you will actually be loosing a little bit of raw graphics horsepower going from 2 780s to a single 1070. However, you will have 5GB more VRAM to play with and will most likely get better performance in most games, including VR. If you can get a decent price for your 780s on ebay or craigslist (sell them separately) I'd definitely make the switch. The oculus technically does support SLI, but whether the game you're running supports it is up to the developer.
