Nvidia Geforce Experience won't optimise any game

I got a new PC a few days ago from scan.co.uk and I logged into GeForce Experience with an existing account before I had any games installed. The software crashed after it said it was scanning for games but after installing Steam and some games they all showed up in the software once I did a second scan.

However for every game that I have launched so far it says "Game can't be optimized". This includes Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike: Source and Crysis 3. I have Windows 10, 32 GB RAM, a GTX 1080 and an i7 6700k.

The game settings stuff in GeForce Experience was all I ever used it for and I'd appreciate some help to get this feature back. I tried disabling different parts of my McAfee antivirus and then scanning for games again but it still won't let me optimize anything. I've also tried restarting my PC and playing the games.

cant say like most find there better off never installing it . I never have and never will . all I ever need is the cards driver and control panel , maybe PhysX witch I don't have installed at the moment anyway and may never do ?? I tend to avoid ''gimmick ware '''

maybe look over some solved threads on it ?

Uninstalling, restarting, and then reinstalling has fixed the problem. I previously tried running the installer and overriding the current installation but that didn't work for some reason.
