I recently realized that my cpu is bottle necking pretty hard, even overclocked, and is seriously overshadowing my overclocked gtx 970. I want to get a new cpu, preferably a nice i7, but I'm having a hard time finding any 1155 i7's that get any better performance than my current i5. Am I essentially SOL here and destined to remain under 60fps until I buy a new motherboard?

Specs:
CPU: intel i5 3570k
GPU: MSI 100ME gtx 970
Motherboard: Asrock Z77 extreme6
RAM: 8gb corsair vengeance

I checked the performance window in my task manager while running Shadow Warrior 2. CPU usage was around 92-100 percent. I know Shadow Warrior 2 is not only very new, but is also a bit of a CPU hog, but I have very similar issues when trying to run other games, including DOOM (2016), Fallout 4, and the previous Shadow Warrior game.

I'd also like to note that in all these cases, I have in fact done a very decent amount of graphics tweaking, from presets, to individual tweaks, to controlling directly from the nvidia control panel.
