Hello,

I just recently moved a hp all in one pc from an office into my house. I set up the pc and it all worked fine (audio and all). After I reset the computer so it was wiped. After the wipe I had to set up my mouse and keyboard, which wasn't working properly (I have Microsoft Wireless Receiver 700 v2.0 keyboard mouse combo). I had to mess with drivers and stuff to get the driver working. Then I attempted to plug my headphones into the PC but was accidentally plugging them into the Sub 3.5mm Jack on the base of my pc. (This is when I started noticing the real issue). The headphones were tight so I searched and ended up finding the 3.5mm jack for the Headphone on my monitor. I plugged the headphones in with some trouble (It was hard to push in, the jack had never been used by me before). Once plugged in, I could hear the normal white noise static but no sound. I unplugged my headphone and my pc speakers weren't making noise either. The only noise the speakers would make, is the occasional popping noise varying from quiet to loud, and from left to right side.

Is this a possible issue with hardwear? I looked back at the headphone jack and it is slightly pushed in from the casing? Should I remove the backing and try to see if that is the error?

Is there any other suggestions?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Before we can say that the hardware is the issue, we will need to know the make and model of your all-in-one system. If you're within warranty you might be best to send it for repair. If you're no then you can try disassembling it but do note, the headphone jack isn't something that a layman can repair overnight nor a professional for that matter. It might go as far as re-soldering the headphone input port itself.

One more thing, please include the OS off which you're working off of as well as the headset that seems to be working on your other device's.
