Hey, i'm going to buy a PC this Christmas because i need a gaming pc and my 2011 laptop is getting slow and is full of viruses i can't remove, here is the list of items i want, can anyone tell me if these are compatible or if i should change anything?

Note: I do not want an AMD graphics card or Processor, i have had horrible experience with AMD.
Note: $2000 For PC with Mouse, Keyboard and Monitor included.

Thanks man, this build is really good, i'm going to hold out on the mouse (i already have one) and use that $50 for some steam games. I hope a PC is easy to build, anyways Thanks!

Try getting a z170 board and a i5-6600k it will make a really big difference the price won't be too much to pay for the performance you would get out of it.
Just like Aeacus said the GTX 1070 would be great but for the HDD for a $2000 build pls go for a HDD with 7200 RPM and 64MB cache and the RAM 8 gig is enough for gaming but 16 would be great future proof and get a RAM with 2400 or higher MHZ than 2133 there won't be any price difference maybe very little a lot of MHZ than just a couple of less latency would be better
