Hi,

I recently returned back to PC gaming after 4 years and fired-up my rusty system (details are in my signature).

I upgraded my graphics from Radeon 6970 HD to R9 280X just now (280X is used) and now started playing Fifa 16 and Battlefield-4.

Both games crashes during playing at random times (normally in 15 mins or earlier). Don't know why this happening.

I am thinking about my new (used) graphics card but then running Heaven and Valley benchmark softwares from Unigine for 30 mins or more with max settings don't crashes it.

Now I am confused what is causing this application crash issues. And system don't hang. Though occasionally (twice in past 1 week) system hanged when just doing something normal like copying files around and downloading/extracting archieve.

Please guide me.

Thanks

Ran Heaven test whole night and it was working fine with max temperature for GPU was 70C.

Running Prime95 now and it crashed randomly few times. Removed all CPU overclocking and still it crashed after like 1 hour (though I was playing youtube videos at the same time, but this is not going to make prime95 crash, right?).

Now increased CPU voltage from default/normal by +0.025v and running Prime95 again with custom torture test setting where set almost max RAM and doubled Min and Max FFT sizes.

Can someone guide me further ahead? And my GPU is not the reason for crash after above mentioned test?

Thanks

MERGED QUESTION
Question from fslateef : "Need help: Game crashing issue while gaming (and stress testing)"

Hi,

I created this thread (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3213586/finding-issue-games-crashing-play.html) 2 days ago and keep updating with new status but nobody replied. Seems like posted in wrong section.

So posting it here again for help. Thanks

Update:

Got BSD once too with SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION but got nothing in brackets. Started "Verfiier.exe" command-line" and found system hanging just after login (verifier might be triggering the bad something) but was unaware of how to find reason for it so somehow managed to stop verifier from further testing.

Then:

Ran Heaven test whole night and it was working fine with max temperature for GPU was 70C.

Running Prime95 now and it crashed randomly few times. Removed all CPU overclocking and still it crashed after like 1 hour (though I was playing youtube videos at the same time, but this is not going to make prime95 crash, right?).
