2 ram sticks, gpu -> no boot

Specs:

Gigabyte Ga-h110m-s2h

Hi

You sound like you may be having two problems.

I am currently having issues with two ram sticks installed. Any of the dual sticks work fine on theyre own in A1 (itx board) however as soon as I plug in the second it does not boot not even to bios.

I would suggest you plug the one ram in that works for now.. then make sure when you plug your GPU in that you are swopping your HDMI in to your actualy GPU and not leaving it in the motherboard!

Hope this helps

P.s im still trying to figure out the dodgy ram slot causing no startup. Have updated bios/cleared cmos etc. Im thinking it may be a bent pin or bad contact in CPU/memory controller.

Update to above... i had one bent pin in my motherboard. Carefully moved this slightly and it has worked.

Be careful when bending pins. I believe two were touching possibly causing a electric short preventing the boot when ram 2 was inserted!

Good luck!
