Hello.

Recently I bought a new rig because I needed to upgrade.

It was a very good price for the parts included. Here is the system specs.

Operating System:
Windows 10

CPU:
Intel Core i6600K @ 3.50GHz

Ram:
8GB DDR4 Kingston Hyperx Gamer Ram

Motherboard:
ASUS B150M-A

GPU:
ASUS STRIX 8GB GTX 1070

PSU:
550W 80+ CERTIFIED XFX PRO SERIES (SEASONIC)

So my issue is that I can play with somewhat good FPS i.e. Battlefield 4 on ultra settings with about 80+ FPS, but it just does not feel like it. Whenever I move my mouse it stutters. In other words, it is not smooth at all as you would expect 60+ frames to be. I have no idea what is causing this.

I have run a few benchmarks on my PC - both the Unigine Heaven(Total score is about 2260) and the 3Dmark (Time Spy + Fire Strike).

I am running Nvidia Experience with the latest drivers.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks in advance,

Asheroc

A couple things you could try, One as suggested above, try disabling some background programs.

Another couple you could try would be to try a lower game resolution.

Also see if there are options for windowed mode, borderless windowed, etc.

If there is a borderless windowed mode use that as i find it generally works best for a lot of games.

Edit: try disabling anti aliasing and vertical sync aswell

Thanks for all your answers.

While I had no success in solving the issue with the suggested ideas, I think I have narrowed it down to being screen tear due to V-Sync being disabled.
