Hey guys recently my 2TB WD Black HDD has been taking longer to load up games like Fallout 4, Witcher3, and Siege(really long on siege). Using samsung magician software the Seq. Read and Write is 39/40 MB/s and Random Read and Write is 148/236 IOPS. When I check S.M.A.R.T. everything checks ok and I defragged it and it still seems slow.

UPDATE:
I updated my MOBO BIOS and the Seq. Read/Write is 81/203 MB/s and Random Read/Write is 1063/601 IOPS.

Hey there, @mpowell1991!

This sounds pretty unfortunate! :( I'd advise you to swap the SATA cable that is connecting your WD Black to the motherboard and also check how the drive would perform from another SATA port. If the transfer rate is still so slow, I'd suggest you check it from another desktop PC, if you have access to one. It would also be a good idea to use our brand-specific diagnostic tool WD Data LifeGuard Diagnostics and run the QUICK and EXTENDED tests on the WD Black to check the health and SMART stats from there as well.

Let me know how it goes! Hope this helps you!
