Overclocking my GTX 1080 FTW Edition slightly made my computer freeze and i had to force restart. I used EVGA's overclocking program.
Specs
-750W G2 80+ EVGA PSU
-i7 6800k
-Asus X99-E
-Corsair H100i V2
-3 case fans
- 3TB 7200RPM Seagate Barracuda HD
-500GB Samsung internal SSD
-GTX 1080 FTW Edition
-16GB (2X8GB) of DDR4 Memory G.SKILL
Is it the programs fault or...?

Solution

It might just be me but i loaded up MSI afterburner and i did the same overclock MHZ, and it didn't freeze or crash. Might be some bug with EVGA's software

hmm
can you send a screenshot of the EVGA Precision X so we can see how much you oveclocked and the settings you used to do so? you may have overclocked to too much for the voltage. honestly we need more information of the overclock.

I am not worries about the card or program because I have used the software and it is great, and I'm sure EVGA does binning on their FTW and SCC cards and all other of their OEM cards.
