Should I buy another GTX 760?

Hi,

I've got a reasonably outdated system now, but it can still play most games at around 40-60 fps (@1920x1080).

System specs:

i5 661 3.33 GHz (OC to 4.3GHz)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Intel DP55KG mobo
MSI GTX 760 OC edition
Corsair 850w TX PSU
Hyper 212 X

Before my CPU overclock, my GPU was bottlenecking (75%) usage, but now it is at 90-98% usage.

Also my mobo has PCIe 2.0, whereas the GPU has a 3.0 connector. Due to my old chipset (P55) 2 GPUs in SLI will run at 8x instead of 16x - will there be a great impact in performance?

My main question is would it be worthwhile investing in another GTX 760 (around £100 used), considering the above?

Sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance!!

First off, 8GB ram is pushing it with GTA V and BF4. If you are experiencing stutter, then try to add, at least another 4GB stick.
The GTX 760 is not your problem. Others have reported that the i5 661 is the limiting factor in such a configuration: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1976566/gtx-760-usage-bf3-whats-bottleneck.html

If I were in your unfortunate situation, I'd upgrade to the i7 880 or 870, which is still socket 1156. It costs about 60 pounds. You will have to hunt for it a bit. Here's one on Gumtree. Don't know your exact location... https://www.gumtree.com/p/memory-motherboards-processors/processor-intel-core-i7-870/1191028341

Then I would opt for more ram. This upgrade will cost less that 100 pounds... Under no...

At the moment mainly GTA V, but I also play BF4 and some simulator games. I play GTA at 1080p on high - very high settings (mainly because turning them down doesn't seem to impact my FPS - CPU bottleneck I assume) and BF4 at 1080p on low-medium.

Budget wise, I'm not too sure. Basically I'll only be using this machine for the next two years, so I'm not willing to pay for a brand new system. For now, lets just say £150.

Cheers for the speedy reply btw :)

Oh yeah. P.S. When you upgrade the CPU, get an aftermarket air cooler and OC the the hell out of it!
