Did I get the right parts to build my first PC?

I wanted to build something that would support the new Skyrim Remastered. Wasn't sure if everything would fit together properly, though I did try to do a lot of research on this. Feedback would be appreciated!! Thanks!

CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 3.10 GHz

GPU: Radeon R9 290 4GB GDDR5

Memory: Crucial 8GB kit (4GBx2) DDR3L 1600 MT/s SODIMM 204-pin

HDD: Western Digital 1 TB SATA 6 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 64MB cache, 3.5 inch

Motherboard: Intel classic DH61CR Desktop, H61 express chipset, socket H2 LGA-1155

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, 120mm PWM fan

PSU: Corsair CX600, 600W, 80+ bronze certified

Wifi card: Intel network 7260.HMWG.R revised wifi wireless-ac 7260 H/T dual band 2x2 ac + bluetooth HMC

Case: Zalman ATX mid tower, Z3 Plus

Also: I'd love any suggestions for cheaper alternatives that perform the same as these parts. Altogether, with an OS to install, this is close to $1000. I was hoping to keep it under $800. Thanks!!

Do you have some of those parts, or are buying them? If you are buying everything- better buy new. i5 2400 was great 5 years ago, but now it makes no sense to buy it, as i3 6100 is cheap, faster than it and allows easy upgrade to an even better CPU if needed later.
R9 290 4 GB is also a nice GPU, but midrange GPUs from this year like RX 470 4GB are just as fast, use VRAM more efficiently and consume much less power.[/quotemsg]

I chose that CPU and GPU based on the system requirements that were suggested for Skyrim Remastered. Thanks for the info! So you think the i3 6100 and RX 470 4GB would perform even better with the game?[/quotemsg]

oh those parts are much much better then the ones you were picking, the 2400 is very very old

The motherboard here is expensive and only makes sense if used with 6600k or 6700K at once. I'd rather go with a $80-$100 motherboard, which would still allow upgrade in a few years time and 250GB SSD for the same money. 2TB Hitachi/Toshiba hard drive instead of 1TB WD as well.

Thanks so much for the feedback, everyone. I'm going to look through your suggestions later and let you know if I have any additional questions. I'm from the US and have not bought any parts yet. I'm obviously pretty new to this and am still learning.
