Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Looked at similar topics on here but couldn'd find an answer.

The MSI 1060 i have turns off the fans at low temps, but it gets way too loud during gaming for my taste so i wanted to do a custom curve but i'm not able to get it below 25% on the slider.

Maybe my fan curve isn't done right? My first time doing one.

If the card allows fans off, and you set it to 0% in the curve, that should work. In Afterburner, make sure both the gear icon left of the fan slider AND the 'Auto' word under the right side are enabled. That makes the fan curve effective.

Hmm. I usually find the "stock" fan curve on the card is not aggressive enough, meaning it ramps pf the fan too slowly and lets the card get too warm, too quickly for my taste. I use a utility like Afterburner to set a more aggressive curve than "stock".

All that said, the 25% may be the minimum the card will allow, and really there should not be a noise issue @ 25% anyway. When it spins up during gaming, that's another story. Most GPUs can get fairly loud when gaming.

If your card is too loud for you during gaming with the stock curve, I suppose you could set a more conservative one with Afterburner, but my guess is it will get too hot and throttle back during gameplay. Another alternative is, assuming your room temperature is reasonably cool, you could find a fixed fan setting (say 60%, for example) where the noise is bearable for you but the card does not get too hot during game play. Doing this will take some trial and error.

Well i've already tested it using the built in Kombuster on MSI Afterburner to find out what speed i can have at what temperature.

As for what the card will allow, it does allow it to turn off, there was this piece of plastic over one of the fans saying that they turn off to increase lifespan (and i can see them turn off myself)
