Getting post code 97 on MSI 990fxa-gd80

So I decided to finally upgrade my graphics card from a evga 550 ti to asus strix 380 4gb. I swapped out the cards and it tried the post test before I moved on and I keep getting the 97 code.

I tried two other pci slots and no luck
I uninstalled 550 to drivers and card from the device manager.

code 97 relates to the gpu not passing post


make and model of your power supply?


you should make sure the motherboard bios is up to date as well



if you have another pcie slot try it
