Where can I get a microUSB wifi receiver for my android?

My phone company, ARCHOS, cheaped out on my android's wifi receiver, so I can only get wifi when I'm within a couple feet of the router. Is there some kind of plug-in wifi adapter that I can get?

Something that people have tried, and with limited sucsess has worked, is using a usb otg adapter to a usb wifi dongle. This has only worked on a few devices, and there are small chances of it working with you. If you can get the parts on amazon and return them for free, why not try though.
