Different GPU Aloud?

Hey I was just wondering if it possible to run different GPU in a sli. Currently I have a GTX Titan and I was wondering if I could do a sli with another nvidia graphics card. Also is it possible to even have an amd and nvida graphics card together.

I was just wondering cause I wanted a little upgrade on my computer.

Also what is the difference of doing sli than doing nothing and just keeping both of them in my motherboard but not with sli.

Will it be better or worse.

You can run 2 different gpus in a pc. Can even run amd and nvidia. Separately. They will not run in sli or xfire. The biggest issue is trying to get amd drivers to cooperate with nvidia drivers while both are loaded. I've seen it done before, but it was ages ago, when drivers were simpler and installs were manual not auto.
If you are serious about bc mining, I'd suggest you either sell the titan and replace it with a couple of amd cards like nano's in xfire, or simply build another rig and dedicate it to running 24/7 bc.
