Hi I currently downloaded an app onto my ipad that allows me to stream games from my pc to my ipad. The app is called remotr.
But the problem is I have a capped data connection (35GB)and Im guessing streaming games can chew through alot of data. Could someone just give me an estimate of how much data streaming services like this could use in say a hour? Thanks

Outside the house is you go to the internet for this vs just streaming from device to device in the house. If the network traffic is just internal, there is no data usage from your ISP at all. Like if you copy files between your...
Depends a lot on the quality. I'd budget things at 1 GB per hour of decent quality, 1.5 at 1080 in higher quality.

So the other thing here, are you doing this streaming from outside the house? Because if you are going from the PC to the iPad on your internal network there is 0 data being used from the ISP.

Ok thanks that is a lot less than i expected. Also what do you mean outside my house? I just have a home wifi network which I connect both my ipad and pc to for this streaming to work.

Outside the house is you go to the internet for this vs just streaming from device to device in the house. If the network traffic is just internal, there is no data usage from your ISP at all. Like if you copy files between your computers or view something remotely that is inside your house network. If you are going over your WiFi to the two devices, there is no data use from the ISP data.
