Hello,
I'm quite new to the whole bottleneck thing and I'm planning on getting an I-7 6700K. I currently have a GTX MSI 970 but am planning on upgrading it soon. I do a lot of gaming and I know that the CPU won't be performing at it's best but will my GPU still be performing at it's best.
Thanks for reading if it makes sense.

you could have 3 gtx 970's and a i7 6700k would easily run them all

...bottlenecking on a i7 6700k is really not a concern

Are you asking which will bottleneck your system with a 6700k and a gtx 970? There will always be a bottleneck in any system so saying no bottleneck is impossible.

However usually in gaming we want the GPU to be the bottleneck and not the cpu. So with this even if you went to a GTX 1080, perhaps even SLI at a high resolution with your new i7 you'll most likely not bottleneck your GPU's while gaming ;)
