So I am in the middle of building my first PC just need to buy a few more components but that got me wondering for how am I suppose to get WiFi. I know there are some wireless modules but next to my desk there is a thing where you can plug an ethernet cable in, there is also one where my router is sitting at and is connected. So I was wondering if I were to connect my PC to the ethernet cable and plug the other end in, would I get WiFi?

You wouldn't get WIFI, but you would get internet. You will get a MUCH BETTER network connection than WIFI will ever provide. Your motherboard has an ethernet port. Take advantage of it and only use WIFI as a last resort.
