I plugged 5 all connected by molex with a fan controller into a single 3 pin on my motherboard with a fan Connecter. First time building a PC I figured fans use next to nothing in power. It turns out all my fans use between 2w and 7w. It sparked and the computer died. It turned back on so I figured it was fine. But it never turned on again. I figure the motherboard is dead and maybe the cases control panel. Do you think the other components could have been fried too? I just need to know what to get replaced. I now have the fans hook directly to the power supply.

The motherboard fan_header usually can out put 1Amp or 12W. You did overload it with 5 fan with 2w and 7w fans. The MB is gone. You should connect the fan controller into the PSU with 4-pin molex like you said.

You need the new MB. And nobody will know othe components are fine or not until you try in on. Like check the PSU with paper clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FWXgQSokF4 test the GPU, RAM HDD, etc in other PC.
