PERC4-SC: PERC/CERC BIOS Configuration Utility -> Configuration -> View/Edit Configuration -> I have a single drive (4th physical drive - not OS) that is RAID 0 # of stripes 1 w/drive state of offline.

Is there anything I can do to see if the drive is in fact bad or if its in an incorrect failed state?

Can I force it failed drive online without wiping out the data on the drive?

Hey there, skipbl92.

Unfortunately, if the volume has degraded or became corrupted, the data is most likely gone as well. However since it's a single drive RAID 0 you could try getting something off of it via data recovery software: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/tp/free-file-recovery-programs.htm
If you want to know what's the situation with the HDD itself, I recommend that you download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive for errors and bad sectors, to see if anything alarming pops-up.

Hope that helps.
