My brother is making a computer but doesn't want to ask online for advice, so I'm doing it for him. Any ideas on how to make it cheaper without downgrading any components? I don't really know what his bugdet is or what he's building it for. I know he plays a lot of Farm Sim and ETS.

That is an unnecesary downgrade from the build i linked. And he shouldn't be buying a 2gb GPU these days.
Here, i've trimmed it down so he can get an SSD and the Better GPU in his budget.
Also, go with DDR4 as that is what is recommended for Skylake.

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H110M-HDS Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($42.94 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133...
That's a bad build. Don;t invest in that dead and burried platform. Even an i3 will serve your brother alot better.

Alright, so I am the brother of Sabre and I am the one that is making the computer. I just have a few questions about this build. I am only asking these so I can better understand your suggestions.

1)Is there a benefit of AMD over Nvidia for gaming? Until now I have had a bias of Nvidia over AMD, is that bias unfounded now?

2)If I shouldn't be getting a 2GB GPU these days, what is the minimum that I should be getting then?

3)Am I going to want/need a CPU cooler with the build that Hlsgsz posted? Or can I get that at a later time if I wanted to?

That is all have for now.

And by the way, thanks in advance for humbling me a little and helping me out a lot. This is my first time building a computer, so I still have a lot to learn from you guys.

You're welcome!

1) Unfounded. The right answer is what you can afford, in this order: GTX 1070 > GTX 1060 6GB > RX 480(8/4GB) > GTX 1060 3GB > RX 470
2) bare minimum 3GB for 1080p gaming. 4+ preferable.
3) only get a cooler if you find the stock one too loud(it's not)

I'm goind to add that if you can spend a little extra and get a GTX 1060, especially the 6GB version, it is very much merited.
