I started having computer reboot and powersurge warning after i bought my new 1070.
Ive had this occur two times in 5 days when playing WoW
I didnt have this problem with my 970.
Specs: i5-4690k stock clocks
Asus GTX 1070 DUAL
Asus Z97-A
2x4GB hyperX fury ddr3 1600mhz
500GB Samsung SSD
120GB Kingston SSD
2TB Hitachi HDD
600W Silverstone PSU
Am i safe to turn the powersurge protection off or no?
Also i have 2 mice, keyboard and headset connected if that makes difference.
E: I have updated my BIOS and it still happened.

"600W Silverstone PSU"

I'd say the problem is most likely stemming from your PSU. Silverstone doesn't typically make good PSU models, and the new 1070 is probably giving it difficulties.

With the rest of your specs I'd recommend trying to test your system with a 650w tier 1 or 2 PSU from this list: PSU Tier List, as they will be certain to provide the needed power for your system.

Common favourites on Tom's is the EVGA G2 and Corsair RMx series PSU"s, both are fantastic if you can find them in your area.

How about Corsair VS650? Would it be enough for my build or should i buy modular?

turkey: From what I've seen Silverstone typically falls within the 'somewhat passable but not always reliable' category. In the PSU tier list the majority of them fall within tier3, and from the sounds of haklis' post it looks to me like bad power is a strong candidate for the cause of the issue. Would you rank them higher in terms of average quality?

haklis: The VS line isn't one of Corsair's higher quality models. As I said above if at all possible I'd try and get something from the tier 1 or 2 category of the PSU tier list I linked above and you'll be sure to get a quality unit.

Are you 100% sure its about my bad PSU? If it is, i think ill buy EVGA 650W SuperNOVA 650 G2.

Your still portraying brand bias, though. It would be better to ask what model his power supply is since that is all that matters and brand really doesn't. I don't believe in the PSU tier list anyway.

The thing is, the GTX 1070 should use less or equal power to the GTX 970. It's not like he was upgrading to a much more power-hungry video card. Maybe it's the PSU, maybe it isn't and it's just faulty motherboard readings, maybe there isn't a problem at all. Who knows.

Its SilverStone 600W Strider Plus.

Well it seems to be a pretty good unit but there is some concern about a lack of capacitor cooling on the secondary http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=395 now it would make sense if capacitors would fail and then cause problems but everything just seems too coincidental with you swapping the GPU, I don't really think swapping the GPU to a similarly-powered GPU would coincide to capacitors failing and causing problems, that seems way too far fetched to me.

Really you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Asus Anti-surge monitors the output voltages of the power supply and if they fall below a certain point it shuts down the power supply. Now the question is if these are simply misreads or perhaps there are problems related to the new GPU being in, so who knows. You are either stuck between buying a whole new PSU on account of some speculation that the PSU may be having problems, or you can go into the BIOS and then turn off anti-surge. If you turn off anti-surge and don't have any problems, I wouldn't break any sweat over it. If you turn off anti-surge and have freezes and other PSU-culprit issues, then perhaps anti-surge was actually telling the truth.

But since every non-Asus motherboard does not have anti-surge I see no harm is turning it off and seeing if you have any problems, because chances are everything will be dandy.

If i turn the protection off, can comething broke? Like processor or gpu or something?

I don't think that will happen, no.

I turned it off and had no problems, but today when i started to play Battlefield 1, my screens turned black and GPU fans started to spin on full speed, but i still heard all sounds, so computer didnt crash or anything. Is the problem my GPU or PSU? If its PSU, i will order EVGA Supernova 750 G2, but im not quite sure if its PSU or GPU. Im thinking its the PSU but if someone knows any better, would be great.

My suspicion was the PSU, but as turkey said it's impossible to say for sure unless you order a new one or have a 2nds PSU you can test with your system. Worst case scenario with ordering a new PSU would be that it didn't solve the problem and you could return it for a full refund.

Today happened something strange. I booted my PC. No LEDs anywhere and nothing on screens. I reset CMOS. PC doesnt even start, like it doesnt get power. I reset CMOS again, nothing happens. I unplug and plug motherboards powercable, and it suddenly starts working. Ill order the EVGA Supernova 750 G2 now, its tier1 PSU, right?

I got the EVGA put PC wont boot. Ive triple checked all cables and tried without peripherals. I only get LED lighting up on my GPU and mobo. Is it faulty psu or what? Also, theres little click noise when i press power button, and i think its from PSU.

A clicking sound is certainly unusual.

First thing I would try is the paperclip test to make sure the PSU is at least generally working: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixcWCrYpw3Y

From the sounds of it you ARE getting some power to the GPU and mobo, but the paperclip test couldn't hurt. To further test the PSU do you happen to have another rig you could plug it into?

If the paperclip test turns out negative then you definitley just got very unulcky with a bad unit.
