Found them at the same price and I was wondering which one is better . The Gigabyte has 2 3.1 usb ports which won't probably help me that much and has red led on the right , which is cool . In rest , I can't spot any difference between them . Does one allow more overclock compared to the other one , or something like that ? I wanna pick the best mobo for my i5 6600k and SilentiumPC fortis 3 cpu cooler .

thing I found with asrock today is you cant count on them supporting your board may support for the next 5 years then that may just forget about you and drop it in 1 year [ this is something thy seem to of just started to do ]

I noticed from this page like near 1/2 of the boards listed are gone like 2 I own the newest is a z87 ext 6 , gone no longer supported and no new bios updates for any of todays newer hardware if needed like a graphics card as we see a lot of . but yet there still fully supporting the extreme 4 and keep it up to date

http://www.asrock.com/mb/index.asp?s=Current

asked asrock support about that and was told '' I should of bought a extreme 4 '' too bad so sad

so it seems with them you roll the dice and hope your board is not on a short list and sold for a quick sale and forgot about
''Yeah I'll buy the Mobo right now , because it is one sale'' hmmmm......

my board from them work great but now I cant risk any new hardware upgrades cause the old dated bios's may not support any of them --

good luck

no , i just need one for my i5 6600k . I think ill buy the asrock , as it even supports one m.2 ssd , which will be the crucial mx 300 525 gb one . Thanks , ill stick with asrock

wow, that board has all ready 14 bios update in its short life time ?? hmmmm....... how unstable is it out of the box ?? I see now why asrock dropped support for a lot of boards like mine . there spending all there time updating the 100 series boards with boo coos of bios updates to make them work right I guess

how many bios uodate the giga have 3 ??? must not have a lot of stability issue as asrock seems to do ?? ouch...

good luck and enjoy

ya you keep saying that .. look at them one more time then funny how goga don't sem to have that issue or there s would get as many updates as well see I been down this road with asus and seen the light way too many bios updates in a short time = somthings wrong ..

like you said ''' update has nemerous DRAM and drive updates alone '' memory not working out to well ??

looks like today the asrock apple did not fall to far from the asus tree ...

like I said I been happy with asrock but when I checked to see if a new bios came out for the NVidia 10 series cards or what ever and see 2 of my boards were gone and noticed quite a few were as well [not even old platforms ] still gfive support for a 775 but not 1/2 of the 8 series ?? -

anyway if they were not having memory issues they would not need 10 bios updates for memory , that's all there is to it , but then maybe there upodating bios just for fun ?

the look a like newegg reviews from guy who contacted asrock support ?? brushed off as I was -- pretty sad when there answer id '' should of bought a different model motherboard if you needed any new support ''

they should of said is I should of bought a different '' brand'' of motherboard if I needed support ..

thing is the asrock board do work fine and solid but like now if I want a new 10 series card and may not have a later bios to support them ???

that's my main point when a lesser/cheaper board of the same chipset is still getting support today .. how hard is it to not give support to the extreme 6 if you still can for the extreme 4 ?? so with that I lost a bit of trust in asrock , really I now cant trust them for any long term support

so he may get more bios updates or asrock may just scrap his board and call it quits right where its at now ?? times have changed over there with them that 2ed board was getting support and its way older but now its gone from there site as well out of the blue ..

in the end it just buy it and use it and hope it gives long lasting issue free service [ any brand ]

good luck
