Hey,

Been having problem with coilwhine with my new 1080, i hear a very low sound of it when its idle, when when under load it gets extremely high imo. Does retailers usually accept rma for coilwhine? Or is it anything you could do to try and lower the noise?

I recorded my gpu when i put it under load, it starts a few seconds into the video.

I have the same problem with my gaming x 1080. I have a very loud coil whine even with 60 fps and it only gets worse the higher fps you get. At 30 fps I cant hear anything tho, but kinda silly to use a 1080 for 30 fps. Tried swaping the mobo, psu and gpu 2 times. No luck so far :(

Most retailers will swap msi cards for you right away if you complain about coil whine. Im on my third 1080 gaming x now and still loud whine, so im changing to another model, I hope you get a better card next time!

The latest psu I tried was a corsair rm850i. I thought that was "high end" since I followed the psu tier guide from this site and bought one from tier one. I hear seasonic should be "the best", but none of my retailers have them.
