Is this "upgrade" worth it?

Hello there!
Currently I own a litle bit outdated machine
My specs are:
CPU: AMD 7750 BE (@stock 2.7Ghz)
MOBO: ECS A790GXM-A
RAM: 4Gb DDR2 800 (4x1Gb)
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD3870 512Mb
SSD: Samsung Evo 850 120Gb

This has been my setup since 2009 (i think). Back in the day it used to run really smooth in all games. Then I stopped gaming, and used it only as a multimedia machine (movies, internet navigation, office work) so I never needed to upgrade it.

My question is: Would a Phenom II X4 965 (i can buy it for around 40/50 dollars) and a GTX 750ti (for around 120dollars) be a good upgrade?
I don't want to do hardcore gaming, I only need to be capable of running CS:GO @1680x1050 with decent FPS (something around 100/150 fps) without spending a lot of money :D
Later (maybe in one year) I am planing on a REAL upgrade (mobo ram and cpu), but for now I'm just on a tight budget! :)

Solution
Looks like there's some value in your upgrade plans. I don't know if you'll get 150fps in CS:GO, it's extremely CPU heavy and you're still going to be playing on a 7 year old chip, but it'll certainly be much better than what you have.
