Hey, I am new to building pcs so I don't know if these components are compatible.

  • Alpine 600W 120mm Blue Fan PSU
Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz
Gigabyte Intel Z170 Gaming K3 Skylake DDR4 ATX Motherboard
    Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor LGA1151 Socket 6MB

Also is this all I need and if not what am I missing? I want to do gaming

Solution
Other than the PSU, it will work.

Not saying the PSU isn't compatible, but it looks to be of a lower quality. You'd be better off buying something from Seasonic, XFX, EVGA.

And if you want to game you'll need a discrete GPU (recommendations pending on budget).

What are the consequences of using that PSU?

Either nothing or it will prematurely fail and take your system with it. It all depends on how well (or badly, really) made the PSU is.

80% of the time it will probably be fine, but you don't want to be in the remaining 20% that can have a blown PSU taking down your whole computer.

It's just better going with a reputable manufacturer from the beginning to minimize the risk of damaging your system from a poorly-made PSU.

I'm going with " EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply", is that good?

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing, Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB and 4GB DDR4 2400 MHz added so far. What else do I need?

Is that it? And also whats a good amount of watts for the PCU?

To make your life easy building a computer, put all the parts in here - http://pcpartpicker.com/list/

It'll be easier to tell what's missing and needs to be added.

As for how many watts you need, again, it depends on what you put in your build. If you go with what you have now and a GTX 750 ti, you really don't need more than 400W. If you plan to put in a better GPU, then 600W might be good. But again, you need to post a full build using PCPartPicker in order to determine anything.
