Right now I own a Alienware x51 r2 and I want to install a new GTX 1080 or 1070 graphics card I need it to fit in my case I was wondering would it effect anything if I got a bigger GPU besides stick out of the case ???? Im thinking a ASUS GeForce 8GB Dual-Fan OC Edition will that fit ????

what power supply is in the computer? what is the amperage on the 12v rail?

i highly doubt you have the power to run a potential 160-220w video card, nor do you have an 8pin pcie power cable to connect the 1070/1080. you are likely going to be limited to a gtx1060 since it only draws around 110-120 watts and most models only need a single 6 pin power connector.

if you have the 330w power brick the best 100% compatible gpu you can get is a reference 1060

a 1070 or 1080 could work, but you might run into issues with temps and power
