I have a self built PC with the following specs:
-AMD FX-6300
-WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX
-2x G.SKILL rip jaws x series ddr3 8gb (16 total)
-EVGA 650 GQ 210-GQ-0650-V1 80+ GOLD 650W Semi Modular EVGA ECO Mode Power Supply
-Radeon 380x
-Asus 970 pro gaming motherboard
-windows 10 home

Went away from my desktop for a couple hours, came back and the screen was black and it wouldn't wake up. It took thirty minutes to finally load to a blue screen with an error message saying "driver power state failure". Tried again with another error "critical process died". Tried booting from a USB with windows 10 and the original installation disc I bought but both said the hard drive with windows installed was locked when I tried to reset the PC. I tried using Dariks Boot and Nuke to wipe the hard drive thinking there were corrupted files on it or something but 2% through the process it decided there were 30000 hours left. I tried one ram stick, swapping ram sticks... no luck. I even put an old hard drive in with windows xp installed and tried to boot from that and it gave me the options to start windows normally, from safe mode, etc. but when I chose one or the other the PC instantly restarted and stayed in that loop. I was really thinking it was a hard drive issue but after that old hard drive failed to boot I'm not so sure it is my hard drive anymore. I tried to boot from my current hard drive again today and now it says there is an invalid partition table. So I booted from a USB again to access command prompt and tried bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot but both of those didn't help. I also tried bootrec /RebuildBcd and it didn't even identify any windows installations in my current or the old hard drives. Im so confused as to what the issue is now because every device I plug in shows up as an option in the bios, but when I boot from a hard drive it fails, and when I boot from a USB or disc it's like it can't communicate with the hard drive. I also don't see how this can be a power supply issue because if a hard drive is showing up in the bios it obviously has power. All of the fans are running fine as well as lights on the motherboard. I've tried so many things I probably left some info out but I refuse to spend who knows how much money on a technician when this is possibly a simple fix. With that being said, any ideas?

``The motherboard was purchased recently and has always functioned fine so I'm pretty sure the BIOS is up to date``

nope ..i never bought a motherboard with the latest bios version since 10 years

get the latest bios to improve your system stability
do you get access to the bios?

which model of memory you have?
maybe your memory are not compatible with the mobo and cpu . you need 2133mhz max speed

do you have the latest bios version?
970 PRO GAMING/AURA BIOS 0801

Yes I have full access to the BIOS. The DDR3 is 1600 mhz. The motherboard was purchased recently and has always functioned fine so I'm pretty sure the BIOS is up to date.
