Should I take my old RAM out?

Just noticed I left my original 8gb of ram in my comp when upgrading and adding 16gb. It's been working fine for the past few months but just wondering if I should go ahead and remove those original 8gb, if there would be any performance boost - as in latency times or if it's going to damage anything in the long run.

If your system is stable with both sets of RAM- you can keep using 24GB, but you should probably sell the 8GB if you use your PC just for gaming. 16GB is more than enough now and in years to come. I see no real difference in timings.

You're fine, the 2x4GB have better timings (performance wise) would guess all are running at at 1333, might try them at 1600 11-11-11-30 - look in CPU-Z in the memory tab to see what freq they are at (667 will indicate 1333, or 800 will equal 1600)
