Laptop Too Slow for Game

Hi,
I just bought this game (total war warhammer) and my laptop exactly meets its minimum requirements. The game is working but the laptop is overheating and is very very slow. The mouse takes ages to move around the game.
What can i do or buy to improve it?

The specs of the game are:
Operating System: Windows 7 64Bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 3.0Ghz
RAM: 3GB*
Hard Drive: 35 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Radeon HD 5770 1024MB | NVIDIA GTS 450 1024MB | Intel HD4000 @720P

Some newer laptops can be upgraded, but they are rare. In your case, there is probably nothing you can do. Older laptops can usually only be upgraded on RAM and HDD front, both of which won't help you a bit in gaming performance. You need a better laptop or a new PC build.

Word of advice for the future: whenever you go for minimum requirements, be aware that this means the following: game works, but barely. Always aim for recommended requirements for good experience, and even above them for best possible one.
