So I was thinking of upgrading my cpu AMD A4-5300 to an Intel G4400 skylake. Will I get more performance with the G4400 than my current A4-5300?

My current specs:
A4-5300
4GB 1600 DDR3
HD6570 2GB

And I will add another stick of 4gb ram soon

Solution
Depends entirely on the game.

To be honest, for gaming I would start with a whole new system, your platform isnt a good starting point.

That said, you could probably put in a Athlon 860k and a GTX 950/960 and it would play most things fairly well, but at the moment you are being held back by both a low performance CPU and GPU (which is built in to your CPU).

I want more performance in games. I play league of legends, dota 2, and some online fps like Special Force 2. There are times that the games I play stutter. So I was wondering if my cpu is not doind well in gaming.

Or should I upgrade my HD6570 to a gtx750 ti instead?

With my current cpu, will it not bottleneck a gtx750 ti?

Because there are times when I play gta 4 with my current rig, my cpu reaches like 85-90% usage while my hd6570 reaches only 60-70% on High to VH. But vehicle density set to a low value. And I get around 23-30fps.

Yes I'd upgrade to the X4 880K Quad Core Processor. However i highly disagree on purchasing a GTX 750 Ti. The newer generation is out so it basically makes the older cards obsolete. I'd get the RX 460 as it provides better performance for around the same price.

I agree with RobCrezz. The Pentium is a better CPU than what you have, and arguably better than any CPU for socket FM2+, but you'd need a new motherboard and RAM. An Athlon x4 860K is a cost effective drop-in upgrade for you, and should hold you over for a while. Pair it with a newer video card like an RX460 or 750Ti and you'll have a much better gaming machine for the least amount out of pocket.

RX460 isnt really comparable to the 750 ti because it requires a 6pin power connector, which may mean he needs a better psu etc.

Would probably recommend the 950 over the rx460 tbh, seems faster in most benchmarks.

I was also looking at Athlon x4 cpus, but its hard to find here in my country. Well, I'll just wait for the holidays to come and get my self a new intel based gaming rig.

Thanks for the suggestions and your time guys! :)
