I recently bought a new microphone and interface. (Audio technica AT2020 and AMP tube ) Upon plugging everything in (I had an XLR to 1/4' cable as input and a 1/4' to 3.5mm cable as output), I saw that my computer did recognize the microphone but it did not record any audio. The phantom power button on the interface was set to ON, but i still wasnt able to record anything. This made me think that It wasnt recording because the input cable (XLR to 1/4') couldnt transmit phantom power towards the mircophone.

Is what im assuming correct. or is there something else wrong with this setup I have?
