I Need some advice

I need some computer advice, i currently have a PC that cost me around 290 pounds which i have had for almost 2 years now, here are the specs that i would like to upgrade:

AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.90 GHz
8GB of RAM

I've been told by many people that APUs are very bad and im better off getting a new GPU and CPU and more RAM, i would like to spend around 200-300 pounds on an upgrade, i would appreciate all suggestions thanks.

8gb of ram is fine, i would recommend just getting a gtx 1060. you might get some mild bottlenecking in certain situations, but you'll still get very good performance.
i wouldn't recommend upgrading the cpu to another fm2+ one, you should go over to the 1150 platform and get an i5 when you upgrade your cpu. even your new budget won't cover the cost of the i5 and mobo in addition to the 1060. i'd suggest waiting and starting with the 1060.
