how much is safe to overclock?

hello.
how much is safe to overclock msi r9 270x 2gb oc with RADEON CRIMSON OVERDRIVE?
its deafult clock is 1080mhz and memory 1400mhz.

i5-3570s
600w psu
msi h61m-p31
12gb

There is no "maximum" for overclocking especially with graphic cards as they often vary from card to card. I would increase it in small increments checking for stability every time. I'm not exactly an expert with overclocking but I know one of my friends used this process to great success using his 270x.

thanks.how to chek stability?and do i have to cahnge voltage as well?

You can check stability by running benchmarks or even playing games. Yes you would probably have to change the voltage that is something to also mess with in small increments.
