New nvidia drivers updated, icons flashing..

I suspected a program is causing the problem. Did you do a custom install of your drivers or just express? Cause if you did express that can include a lot of bundle applications that you DO NOT want. If so, try uninstalling your drivers and reinstall using custom. Remove any gaming/video capture apps that may come with it as they are completely unnecessary.

Or try this.

This guy said this fixed it for him.
"Update: I started to suspect icons related to video files. When I removed the completely unnecessary Movies & TV app, the flashing stopped :) ! Btw, I could not reassign avi-files to any other default program, such as Windows Media Player, prior to uninstalling the M&TV (cr)app."

So if the latter works, then just download...

So if the latter works, then just download VLC media player and it will play any video audio file you throw at it.
