Alright so this my first time replacing a motherboard in a pc. I am replacing a Lenovo Tilapia CRB with a ASrock 970m Pro3. I have the TR2 RX 650w PSU. I am trying to see if the cables from the psu would fit with the new mobo sockets but some don't. For example my new front pannel header has 10 slots with one missing making it 9. But my old motherboard had a fourteen pin header with one missing, and they all were in one cable. Will the same cable work with my new motherboard? I need help asap.

In regards of USB headers, front panel header, and audio header they have a completely different pin layout on the two motherboards. So I have no idea if my old cables would work with the new headers since they match the old mobos headers.
The front panel connector cable was all in one cable for the old motherboard. And with the new motherboard the front panel header is smaller than the old one. So the issue is that I have no idea if my old cable will work with the new header.

Some motherboards are proprietary. Lenovo is almost famous for this. Lenovo also has a bad habit of using 14pin motherboards that'll require a 24-14pin adapter to make a standard ATX psu mountable.
There are several factors that are going to hurt. Windows is resident only to the old motherboard, tied to it, so a move to a new motherboard requires a new Windows key.
Since the old motherboard is proprietary, and the case is proprietary, many of the case connectors will not fit, and good luck finding adapters.
IF you are really attached to the case, often the only solution is to re-pin the entire thing to universal standards. Easier to simply replace the case with aftermarket that's already universal.

yes, all those connectors are from the case, hook up directly to the motherboard mostly in the bottom right corner. Its the connectors themselves that are for Lenovo motherboards only. Aftermarket cases are universal, they won't be connectors as much as little plastic coated pins with labels printed on each one. Therefore any aftermarket case will fit any aftermarket motherboard of the correct size. Its only specific companies like Lenovo, Dell, HP etc that make stuff no one can update but themselves.
Thanks a lot for the help. I will pick up an aftermarket case this week and get everything installed into it. Just for clarification, any aftermarket case I buy, no matter the size, all of the cables will fit in the mobo as long as it isn't lenevo, etc.?

Exactly. There are companies that build cases, and companies that build complete pc's. Those are the ones you want to stay away from, pre-built pc companies.
I'd advise a trip to pcpartpicker.com and look at prices and cases that'll do what you need. The 970m pro3 is a micro ATX (matx) motherboard so you can go with a micro tower or a mid ATX tower. I'd not use a full tower as they are simply huge, and overly pricey. List view has pictures of most. Or Google works if not.
